DSDN101 Final clip

The final clip is miles away from what I started with but in the end I think it's better than what I was expecting. The first Idea I had would have been too long to finish before the deadline anyway:

DSDN111 Project 3 final

DSDN111 P3 Summary:

For this third project I used an analytical approach of the hip joint to help me decide on the set of movements I wanted for my final form. Looking at the movements the bones in the hip could move, I mapped the limits of those movements. Using that mapping of movements I looked for different ways of emulating those same movements without simply using a ball joint. The end result is a combination of rotation, sliding and hinges, encapsulated in an outside structure in the same way as the femur slots into the pelvis bone.
